Setting Intentions for the New Year

Every year there is so much hype about New Year’s Resolutions and goals for the upcoming year. Especially in the fitness world. The number of gym memberships spike up, sports apparel stores jump up in sales, and the Chipotles of the world see a little less business.

As you set your intention for the next 365 days, I challenge you to BE INTENTIONAL. Rather than focus on the big picture, what can you do each day that will put you towards that? If your goal is to lose weight, what steps do you need to take to get there? Break it down, plan it out!

This year I would like to eat dinner at home at least 5-6 nights a week. In order to do this, I need to have food in my refrigerator to prepare. To have food, I need to go to the grocery store. To be successful in the grocery store (let’s be honest we all get into a trap here), I need to create a list. So instead of setting a goal of eating dinner at home 5-6 night a week, my goal is to create a grocery list every Sunday. It should only take me 5 minutes (quick = easy), and puts me on track for the big picture!

What will you do with your next 365?
